Bits and Pieces

‘Bits and Pieces’ was the first song I ever heard through massive speakers. It nearly blew my head off, in a good way, that is, even though it’s a bit of daft song and, uninvited, it’s stayed with me.

A bit like the lines below. which I find haunting . I don’t know whether you can even call them a poem. They seem like a fragment. They were found scribbled on the edge of a manuscript and are thought to come from maybe a song, dating back to the 15th century. Funny spelling.
